Mauro
Davoli, was born in Fornovo Taro in 1955. He began taking photographs
during his architecture studies at the "Facoltà d'Ingegneria" of the

In 1981 he began to dedicate
himself entirely to photography opening a photo studio in Fornovo
Taro.He kept his contacts with the design, art and architecture world
working with the «Alchimia» design studio in Milan and with many other
magazines: «Decoration Internationale», «Domus», «Casa Vogue»,
«Abitare», "AD», «Materia».
He also made photoreports in Italy and
Europe, taking pictures of creations of many architects as Paolo
Portoghesi, Aldo Rossi, Sergio Cappelli, Gae Aulenti, Paolo Zermani,
Pier Carlo Bontempi, Robert Krier, Gian Carlo De Carlo, Gabetti e Isola,
Oswald Mathias Ungers, Andrea Branzi...
He has worked with many
advertising studios, creating both still-life pictures and complete ad
photo reports. He created images for Aperol, Limonta Moquettes,
Fiorucci, Pizzarotti, Parmalat and many companies of the Parma
province.He has also published monographic books dedicated to different
artists with many publishing companies among which are Electa,
Allemandi, Fabbri Editori.
He has created black & white images for a
series of tourist guides about the castles of the province of Parma and
organising on that occasion a photo exposition. At the moment he is
working with FRANCO MARIA RICCI photoreporting for a series of volumes
of his publishing company.He is the italian correspondent of the french
photoarchitectural agency ARCHIPRESS.
He also made personal
researches always linked to architecture and art in general.
